A work day between the National Highway Institute (Invías) and the Governments of Boyacá and Casanare will take place this Tuesday, in which an evaluation of the situation of the Cusiana transversal, the Vado Hondo highway, will be made. -Labranzagrande-Yopal and the Belén-Socha-Sácama-La Cabuya-Tame-Arauca corridor.

This table is part of the commitments acquired between the Ministry of Transportation and each of its affiliated entities, leaders of the departments of Boyacá, Casanare, Arauca and Vichada, and representatives of regional associations, in order to prioritize infrastructure projects. and mobility, which allow improving the connection in the territory and establishing a better link between the center of the country and the eastern plains.

The working group in Bogotá will be led by the executive director of operations of Invías, Juan José Oyuela Soler, while the governors of Boyacá, Carlos Amaya, and of Casanare, César Ortiz Zorro, will promote the administrative developments that allow progress in the execution of the works, taking as a premise the enormous difficulties that arise in the rainy seasons along the Cusiana transversal.

In a meeting held last week, the amount and origin of the economic resources were studied, the largest amount belonging to the Bicentennial Pact, the resources that the Government of Boyacá has allocated, plus the efforts being carried out in the national Government to ensure In a shorter time than planned, have as an alternative, the Vado Hondo-Labranzagrande-Yopal and Belén-Socha-Sácama-La Cabuya-Tame-Arauca highways fully paved.

Carlos Amaya, governor of Boyacá, referred to the Vado-Hondo Labranzagrande section, where an agreement has been reached to allow the pavement to advance further, avoiding diverting economic resources on repairs and emergencies. Regarding this proposal, the president said that they are ready to pave four new kilometers.
