The problem is not new, but it does get worse over time. Almost the entire western beltway of the city of Santa Fe is in darkness.

Just when traffic increased since Easter as a result of the closure of the Carretero bridge, a viaduct that connects the provincial capital with Santo Tomé.

At the end of summer, when it was still early to dawn, El Litoral published a report that exposed the serious inconveniences in income to the city of Santa Fe in terms of lighting.

“Entering Santa Fe and traveling through the ring road, a dark and dangerous trip,” was the title of the article that explained the lighting failures in key sectors. Already in autumn, a filmed trip along the western corridor shows that many of the LEDs do not work.

Fortunately, at the intersection with the highway to Santa Fe – Rosario the lights are on, especially taking into account the exponential increase in traffic as a result of the closure of the Highway.

As explained in the aforementioned report, there is a question of jurisdiction and responsibility between two levels of the State, a Federal (National Highway) and a local (Municipality).

Thus, it should be said that Avenida de la Constitución (Ex Mar Argentino), the area of the Cilsa loop and access to the Carretero bridge are the maintenance power of the municipality. From that point and until the jurisdictional change with Recreo, the Santa Fe Municipality is in charge of the operation of the luminaire.
