The emblematic figure of the singer-songwriter Atahualpa Yupanqui still invades the landscapes and the streets of Raco, a town that captivates each of its visitors with its paradisiacal green, its paths, its forests, its rivers and its calm. In this dream setting, where Don Ata’s inspiration gave life to folklore classics, work will begin to enhance its tourist offer.

“We have visited really wonderful places that Raco has, with the aim of working together to enhance them,” highlighted the president of the Tucumán Tourism Entity.Domingo Amaya, who visited the area together with the secretary general of the organization, Marcos Diaz, and the president of the Tourism Commission of the Legislature, Francisco Serra. The provincial authorities were received by the communal delegate, Gerardo Alvi, who made his work team available.

“Raco has a very important attractor, which is the footprints of Atahualpa Yupanqui, and through some investments, organization and work, they can be enhanced. In this special place, in the middle of the mountain, is where he was inspired and made those beautiful songs that are recognized throughout the world,” Amaya added at the end of the meeting. “We have to work together, that is the directive that the governor gave us Osvaldo Jaldoact as a team among ourselves and together with the private sector, to develop a very interesting product for national and international tourism,” he concluded.

For his part, legislator Serra highlighted the importance of teamwork by declaring that “nothing can be done alone,” and assured that the objective is “to work together because such beautiful places with such an important imprint of history and culture, can be projected touristically.”

“Develop a tourism product that allows us to tell the story of Atahualpa, and in this way also continue helping the growth of private enterprises in the commune,” Gerardo Alvi, Raco delegate, contributed at the time.
