A two-year-old minor lost her life in an accident on the Pitalito – Garzón road

In a fateful event recorded yesterday on the roads of Huila, a girl of just two years old lost her life in the middle of an accident between vehicles.

The incident occurred on the road that connects the municipalities of Garzón and Pitalito, specifically in kilometer 48+800, jurisdiction of the municipality of Altamira, Huila.

According to reports from local authorities, the vehicle in which the little girl was traveling, driven by her father, the 25-year-old police patrolman Cristian Marín Salazar, assigned to the CAI of the Ipanema neighborhood of the city of Neiva, violently crashed into another car. At the time of impact, the minor was accompanied by her mother, María Disnarda Chávez, 26, also a patrol officer with the Neiva Metropolitan Police, as well as her grandparents.

The car, with plates BSJ-363, collided with another private vehicle with plates LJO-590, whose driver was unharmed, according to authorities. So far the exact causes that led to this collision have not been revealed and are part of the respective investigation being carried out in the case.

Unfortunately, the little victim of the accident lost his life at the scene, while the other occupants were immediately transferred to healthcare centers to receive specialized medical care.

Uniformed personnel from the Traffic and Transportation Section of the Police went to the site to carry out the required work.

The authorities have initiated the relevant investigations to clarify the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident and determine the corresponding responsibilities.
