Citizens reported very early, through social networks, the blockade due to demonstrations in both directions of the roads that lead from Cali to Rozo, near ‘Matapalo’.
About 200 inhabitants of an area known as Obando keep the road corridor blocked. With trees on the road, and some burning, residents of the sector have stopped traffic on this important road.
Although at first the reasons for the demonstration were not known, it was already known that the residents of this area are asking for an improvement in the supply of drinking water and early childhood care, in addition to urgent attention from the Palmira Mayor’s Office. to solve different problems.
For his part, as reported, the mayor of Palmira, Víctor Ramos, indicated that there is already a meeting scheduled for this Monday afternoon, thus asking the protesters to clear the road.
Thus, given the great traffic congestion that occurs, authorities recommend taking alternative routes.
