Control operations in Santa Fe

In order to improve citizen coexistence and organize the city, the Municipality of Santa Fe, through the Secretariat of Government, Control, Mobility and Citizen Security, carried out a series of control operations last weekend with the objective to enforce current regulations on traffic issues.

The actions were carried out over the weekend in different parts of the Costanera Oeste, the Candioti neighborhood and the Port area. The work was carried out by agents of the General Directorate of Traffic, planned and coordinated by the Executive Directorate of Traffic Control, Transportation and Road Safety.

As a result, 25 vehicles were detained: 16 cars and 9 motorcycles. In the operations, the documentation of the vehicles was verified and breathalyzer tests were carried out on the drivers. With respect to compliance with traffic laws and requirements to circulate, protecting the safety of the driver and third parties, the inspections paid special attention to the use of helmets and the age of people who ride motorcycles.

Of that total, 14 (13 cars and 1 motorcycle) were detained due to positive blood alcohol levels in their drivers, and 11 (3 cars and 8 motorcycles) due to irregularities in the documentation and the lack of helmets for the occupants of the motorcycles.
