This statement was made by the Minister of Education, Culture, Children and DGE, Tadeo García Zalazar, during his visit to the Hogar Risas del Viento, one of the 36 alternative residences that the province has.
Within the framework of the activities carried out for the International Day against Child Abuse, García Zalazar urged the community to get involved in the care and protection of girls, boys and adolescents.
In this way, he indicated that the provincial government is working together with the Judiciary to promote adoptions of children who reside in State homes, and hope to live in a family, with a safe environment free of violence.
In this sense, the Undersecretary of Children, Adolescence and Youth, Verónica Álvarez Ocampos, said that they are looking for “safe environments where they can develop. We aim to mobilize people who are willing to provide responsible parenting for those girls, boys and adolescents who for different reasons have been separated from their family unit of origin.”
Business Sponsorship Program
Minister García Zalazar took advantage of the occasion to invite companies to join, so that they can sponsor these boys’ residences and thus improve the quality of life of the children who are housed there. “We appeal to the social responsibility of many companies in Mendoza and invite them to generate solidarity actions so that our childhoods are much better,” emphasized Tadeo García Zalazar.

[email protected]Exception in the payment of municipal taxes
Most of the alternative residences in Mendoza are private properties that the provincial State rents. Due to the characteristics that this type of property must have, the universe of available properties is limited.
In this sense, Minister García Zalazar said that they will begin negotiations with the municipalities in order to exempt alternative residences from paying municipal taxes, with the aim of expanding the supply of available properties.
