A man identified as Orlando Meza Quiñones was captured in the municipality of Aratoca, Santander, after being requested by the traffic crimes of children and abusive sexual intercourse with minors under 14 years of age.

According to the report of the authoritiesthe 55-year-old man involved would have paid 7 million pesos in cash to the parents of a minor residing in La Guajira to, supposedly, transfer her to Santander and abuse her.

The operation was carried out between the Police in Santander, Prosecutor’s Office and Family Police Station after receiving a series of complaints from a person, whose identity is unknown, in the municipality of Aratoca.
Immediately, the authorities began the corresponding investigations to find the whereabouts of the man who was finally arrested.
