The Church of the Latter Day Saints of Salta today inaugurated its temple called “the house of the lord”, a special building intended for various community activities and which will also receive the influx of faithful from various parts of the country and the world.

The vice governor participated in the inauguration, Antonio Maroccotogether with the Minister of Government, Human Rights and Labor, Ricardo Villadathe Secretary of Government, Rodrigo Monzo, the director of Worship, Daniela Chávez and the Chief of Staff of the Municipality, Juan Manuel Chalabe. The government authorities received personalized guidance along with the president of the South America South Area, Craig Cristensen and other church authorities.

The temple, which has bathrooms, special dressing rooms, a baptismal font, rooms for congregation, teaching and instruction, rooms for the sealing of marriages and families, a central hall called the “heavenly hall” for encountering God and reflection , and a room for brides, has a colonial style adapted to the architecture of Salta and large gardens. From today until Friday the community will provide special tours to government authorities, institutions and special personalities and then, for a period of three weeks, it will remain open to the public so that they can visit it and learn about the interior and the practices that will be carried out in the place. from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Afterwards, the building will be closed and secured and only authorized members of the church will be able to enter.

After the tour, the Vice Governor highlighted the “beautiful and delicate” organization and construction of the temple, while highlighting the artistic and heritage value that a building of these characteristics means for the province.

For his part, Villada celebrated that the community was able to complete the project, which had its “breakthrough” in 2020 during the pandemic. “We have been involved from the beginning and seeing it finished fills me with joy. As Minister of the area of ​​Worship this is very significant because it reaffirms the conviction that we are all children of the same father, beyond the different faiths and cultures,” he assured. the official.

Accompanying the Government delegation were the wife of Minister Villada, Cecilia Pérez Ruiz, the wife of the Secretary of Government, María Adela Uldry Fuentes and the husband of the Director of Worship, Matías Rangeon, among other special guests.

With the inauguration of this work, Argentina now has three temples, one in Buenos Aires, another in Córdoba and another in Salta. The Church of Latter-day Saints has about 194 temples around the world.
