Concern about the implementation of territorial spaces for the reintegration of demobilized FARC members in Casanare.

In several interventions, the Secretary of the Departmental Government, Julio Ramos, has expressed his concern regarding the implementation of a Territorial Training and Reintegration Space (ETCR) in the municipality of Hato Corozal. In this place, the government intends to locate 80 families of demobilized people, a program that has been implemented based on the negotiations in Havana with the FARC.

The national government, through the Agency for Reintegration and Normalization, was quick to issue a statement rebuking not only the government secretary, but also the media, accusing them of being “enemies of peace and reconciliation.” .

What is really appreciated in this situation is a valid concern of a citizen, who is also a public official and was forced to rectify and apologize for expressing what any citizen of this region thinks when learning that the national government wants impose a clearance zone in the municipalities of Hato Corozal and Aguazul, without consulting with regional authorities or taking citizens into account.

And it is not about stigmatizing, but rather pointing out that these areas have brought serious security problems in the regions where they have been implemented, and there are so few success stories of these communities, that it is valid to think that some Casanarean communities that went through In other times, many do not want to relive these situations, since these areas are independent republics where civil and military authorities have no jurisdiction.

Several questions arise that the national government must answer: why do they not locate these families in the regions where they come from or the regions where they demobilized? Why does Gustavo Petro’s government want to impose two clearance zones in Casanare? Why are these lands that you intend to use to implement these areas called Territorial Training and Reintegration Spaces (ETCR) not given to humble Casanareños who have never committed a crime in their lives and who would make these lands productive territories and a legacy for their families?

In addition, the statement is expected from the governor, Cesar Ortiz Zorro, who has stated on several occasions that he will not allow these clearance zones in the department.
