In this regard, the Minister of Economy, Pablo Olivaresclarified: “The increase is on current salaries: if we have to calculate it on December we would be talking about a cumulative increase of 15%,” and at the same time assured that “This government is increasing salaries above inflation and what we want is to reach an agreement in the dialogue forums.”

“The proposal that was made takes into account the evolution of the province’s resources, which allows us to increase the possibility of workers participating in the same proportion as those resources increase; “That is why it was determined that the two months have an increase of the same amount,” the official indicated.

Furthermore, the Minister of Economy pointed out that “In March the province had a deficit” which “forces them to be careful with resources.” “We came from a balance, but the month of March already shows us a deficit of 22,000 million pesos, it is not a coincidence, it is precisely the month where the recompositions began on account of the 2024 joint venture. That forces us to continue being careful with the evolution of resources and the possibilities of recomposing salaries”, projection.

Finally, Olivares expressed: “We are trying to be careful with State resources, which at the same time are being necessary to sustain an evolution of public works, to sustain health expenses, which are showing the impact of the reduction of automatic transfers from the national State and in that scheme, it is where we are not saying that we cannot update salaries, but rather that we are willing to update them each month to the extent that these resources allow it.”

For his part, the Minister of Government and Public Innovation, Fabian Bastiaindicated that “This is the possible offer that the Provincial Government has for its public workers; “We are very responsible for public funds, which is much more than paying salaries, so we offered reasonable increases for public accounts.”

The ministers of Government and Public Innovation participated in the meeting, Fabian Bastia; and Economy, Pablo Olivares; the general secretary of UPCN, Jorge Molina; and the deputy secretary of ATE, Marcelo Delfor.
