Last Sunday, December 10, a raid was carried out on a home in Luis N. Palma, between Soldado Mosto and Misiones, at the request of prosecutor Martina Cedrés as a corollary of an investigation that began in July 2022 due to complaints from two teenagers. 16-year-olds who claimed to have been victims of a 44-year-old man who filmed, photographed and touched them in exchange for drugs.

This man, who had no registered work activity and stated in his statement that he lives off royalties from a field, was charged with the crimes of promoting corruption and prostitution of minors. This is a serious accusation, for two reported cases, which provides for an effective prison sentence of 10 to 15 years.

After his arrest in December 2023, he was placed in preventive detention for 30 days and after that time expired, the measure was extended under house arrest. This Monday the last deadline that the Judge had imposed expired and since the case has not yet been brought to trial because the Prosecutor is still waiting to have the expert reports, he was granted freedom.

Although Telenta ordered in his release order the prohibition of this man from having any type of contact with any of the two minor victims, his release so soon after a trial could lead to some hindrance in the investigation; and Cedrés pointed this out in his argument to have his domiciliary extended, but he was unsuccessful.

In both complaints, the first in 2022 and the second shortly before the raid in 2023, they agreed that this subject gave them drugs in exchange for allowing them to take photos, film themselves, and allow themselves to be touched; and that the place that both described was the same: the home of Luis N. Palma.

According to the case, this man contacted them through social networks and they arranged to do “a preview” at his house during the weekend. But what was supposedly happening reached the ears of the relative of one of the minors and from there the first report was made where what happened was specified and it was clarified that there were no sexual relations.

These were “parties” that were remembered first by Instagram, Whatsapp or Telegram message, and even some of the minors had decided not to go to these parties anymore “so as not to get burned,” since the photos were then uploaded to the social networks. On some occasions the neighbors had notified the Police because of the loud music or because of some conflict on the sidewalk of the home.
