The TeatroMuseo del Títere y el Payaso foundation continues to support the neighbors affected by the great fire that occurred in the city of Viña del Mar.
In the month of March, the foundation decided to change its typical place of celebration for International Puppetry Day, to bring laughter and joy to children from Viñamarina schools that were affected by the fire in the month of February.
TeatroMuseo does not forget the affected families and much less the fellow clown artists who suffered due to the great catastrophe. For this reason, last Sunday a benefit function was held for a former co-worker, Valezka Zuñiga.
As the director of the TeatroMuseo foundation, Victor Quiroga, told us, a Varieté of puppeteers and clowns was held to benefit a colleague who worked for the foundation for many years and her family was unfortunately affected by the fire.
This great benefit was filled with red nose art and string puppets. Where the companies Moving Hilos, Teatro Ambar and Teatro Correquetepillo participated; and the clowns Tony Soquete, Tony Petunia and Tony Tinká were also present.
For all the families of Valparaíso who missed this great journey and want to enjoy puppet works and comic masks, this Sunday the 5th at 4:30 p.m. the Títeres Chirimoya company presents “Petina La Caprichosa” with direct manipulation puppets in the room of the TeatroMuseum (Cumming 795). Tickets cost $4,000 pesos for adults and $3,000 pesos for students, children and seniors.
Also, the TeatroMuseo foundation has training processes. This year the “New Comedians 2024” school begins, which will last two and a half months, where it will be around comedy, through the development of the clown, and animated theater, with puppets and marionettes. Professor Paloma Quiroga, who will teach the voice training module for the scene, tells us that they will be very complete classes, looking at the care of the phonatory apparatus, vocalization exercises and voice exploration through games.
