In order to strengthen security in the university corridor in Santa Marta, the University of Magdalena together with the Mayor’s Office of Santa Marta took the first steps on the land where a Immediate Attention Command – CAI, which after handing over the properties would be outside the educational institution.

During the visit the rector Pablo Vera Salazar and the secretary of Security and Coexistence, colonel (r) Gustavo Berdugo Garavitotoured the space that, if this initiative were viable, this House of Higher Studies would give away free of charge for the construction of this CAI that would benefit more neighborhoods and communities in the city.

Within the Immediate Attention Commands that are going to be created in Santa Marta, It is expected that the one that will be near the University of Magdalena will be the first that can materialize this year with the will of both institutions.
