During Monday afternoon, A man identified as Santiago Baini (46) died at the José M. Cullen hospital.
As it was learned in the early morning hours, the man named had been found fallen in the vicinity of Gálvez and Dorrego boulevards.
Emergency personnel 107 transported him in an ambulance to the aforementioned hospital where it was found that he had a small cut wound on the scalp, accompanied by otorrhagia and a cranial deformity in the right occipital-parietal region.
The first reports estimated that the man may have been the victim of a traffic accident (run over).
However, the case took a different turn when the police doctor ruled out the road accident theory by determining that said injuries were not compatible with said event.
Faced with this dilemma, the situation was communicated to the Homicide Prosecutor, Dr. Carlos Lacuadra, who ordered an autopsy.
The MPA official also ordered the analysis of the images captured by security cameras in the area, in an attempt to reconstruct the victim’s last moments.
