Repair and maintenance works continue in Valentina Norte Park

The Secretary of Sports and Youth, María Fernanda Villone, toured the property and gave details of the progress of the work.

The Ministry of Human Development, Local Governments and Women reports that repair and maintenance work continues to be carried out at the Valentina Norte Recreational Park in the city of Neuquén.

At the beginning of the month, the Secretary of Sports and Youth, María Fernanda Villone, requested a survey of the sports complex and since then numerous tasks have been carried out to improve the infrastructure.

The eight-hectare property is located at the access to the “Presidente Juan Domingo Perón” international airport of this city and an average of 15 thousand people attend monthly to carry out sports and recreational activities. It was inaugurated on December 11, 2006.

It has in its facilities a healthy aerobic circuit, open-air sports playgrounds with soccer and basketball fields, children’s games, an amphitheater for 300 people and an approved skatedrome, suitable for international competitions, as well as a skatepark.

Villone reported that they are working together with the Directorate of Infrastructure and Maintenance dependent on the Secretary of Sports and Youth.

“We are valuing Valentina Norte Park. At the direction of Minister Julieta Corroza, we toured the facilities with part of the Secretariat team – she said – currently maintenance tasks, lighting inspection and repair of automated irrigation are being carried out.

Finally, he highlighted that “the Park is a priority for our government management, it is a space widely used by residents, where different physical and recreational activities are carried out.”
