A 19-year-old young man was stabbed to death in the neck after resisting a violent robbery, in a tragic event that occurred on Tuesday night in São Tomé.

The sequence began minutes after 8 p.m. when police personnel received a notice from CE 911 to go to the Necochea and Moreno area (La Cruzada neighborhood) for a robbery.

When the uniformed officers arrived at the scene, they found a young man sitting on the south sidewalk, who had a deep stab wound at neck level. Next to him was a woman keeping him company.

According to what was learned, the boy (identified as Nahuel Andrés Robles) was traveling by bicycle accompanied by said woman when a criminal armed with a knife intercepted him and demanded the handover of his cell phone.

Given the refusal, a struggle broke out that culminated in the fatal outcome. A stab wound to the neck that ended Robles’ life.

Desperate to recover his belongings, the young man chased the attacker, but his efforts were in vain. Already mortally wounded, he took a few steps back until he collapsed on the sidewalk, where neighbors came to his aid and requested help.

Due to the urgency of the case, the young man was transferred to the Samco of Santo Tomé where, despite the efforts made, his death occurred.

The Homicide Prosecutor, Dr. Estanislao Giavedoni, was informed of everything that happened, and ordered the intervention of experts from the Investigative Police (PDI).

In this sense, it emerged that shortly before midnight the agents, in search of the murderer, raided a property, although without positive results.
