In a humanitarian support action, while soldiers from the Light Cavalry Group No. 7 Meteoro and the Casanare Guides Group, from the Sixteenth Brigade of the National Army, carried out territorial control tasks guarding the road that leads from Hato Corozal to Sácama , and area search, especially due to the incidents of public order disturbance that occurred in previous days, a fire truck parked at the checkpoint and its crew member asked the soldiers to support the labor of an indigenous woman, since there was not enough time to get to the nearest health center.

Counting on the knowledge and experience of the combat nurse soldier, we proceeded to attend to such an emergency, which culminated successfully in bringing a small baby into the world, whose vital signs were also verified and he received his first health care. .

The humanitarian action of the soldiers would have prevented complications in the health of the baby and his mother. She, after expressing her gratitude, continued on her way to the Sácama health center, where according to the latest report known to the troops, the two are in optimal condition.
