Under the directive of the National Government in which the initial education policy was established, the Mayor’s Office of Neiva, through the Ministry of Education, began the expansion of the institutional offer in 21 schools in the city in which boys and girls of three and four years will develop their early education process.
The expansion in coverage will allow children from a young age, as well as parents, to be motivated and continue the educational process, understanding that these initial grades aim to develop skills and abilities in the children.
“It has been proven that children at an early age have an easier time starting, initiating and motivating themselves in their learning process.”, emphasized Natalia Andrea Rodríguez Gutiérrez, Secretary of Education.
For this purpose, the Ministry of Education managed nearly 1,300 million pesos for each term, which guarantees the expansion of the teaching staff with 19 teachers; Likewise, with the purpose of providing school environments suitable for the youngest boys and girls, the Education portfolio will make improvements in the infrastructure, provision and expansion of the School Feeding Program, PAE, for more than 420 children, the above managed through of the National Government.
