The Secretariat of Environment and Sustainable Development of Boyacá continues to negotiate with authorities to strengthen the Public Policy for Animal Protection and Welfare of Boyacá, therefore during the quarterly session of the intersectoral table No. 20 the main needs of the department in this matter were addressed.
During the session, the sector’s Animal Welfare and Protection Team analyzed topics such as population control of dogs and cats, as well as projects related to a mobile veterinary surgical unit, mobile animal protection and welfare days, and the departmental plan. of sterilizations.
The proposals seek to strengthen institutional capacity, prioritize vulnerable populations and include academia and research as fundamental pillars for animal protection and well-being in Boyacá, “the commitment to animal protection and well-being in Boyacá is It reflects in every small action we take, whether it is adopting a pet, reporting animal abuse or simply educating others about the importance of animal care.
