Snowfall will continue this week in the Aysén – Santa María Region

During this, the regional authorities met to analyze the current situation regarding the snowfall that has occurred in the Aysén region.

In this sense, the regional director of SENAPRED stated that some complex situations have been generated, mainly associated with vehicles that travel on the routes without the use of a chain, causing road blockages.

Although the decision was made to close vehicle traffic on the Queulat slope, today the road and emergency teams are already giving way to smaller vehicles.

Of course, the authorities insisted on precautionary measures to avoid larger accidents.

The greatest amount of snowfall has fallen in the sectors near Ñirehuao and Tapera, where it has reached 30 centimeters, as reported by the same people in the area.

The Presidential Delegation and the Regional Ministerial Secretariat of Agriculture have reported that they maintain coordination so that help from the different public services can arrive on time.
