Cienfuegos Strengthens links with organizations in Technical and Professional Education – Radio Rebelde

Cienfuegos, Cuba-Technical and Professional Education in this central and southern province, with 52 specialties, is finalizing preparations to end the School Year next July, through strengthening together with organizations and delivering the qualified workforce to more than three thousand graduates.

Among the priorities, the productive teaching strategy stands out, and tangible results in some centers linked to state and non-state economic actors contributing to the territorial contribution, based on Presidential Decree 364.

The José Gregorio Martínez and Orestes Jiménez Polytechnics stand out in the specialties of Construction and sugar factories in the Obourke Industrial Zone and the municipality of Lajas, respectively, as well as the Félix Edén Aguada, in Abreus, which prepares agricultural workers.

Yunier Junco Abreus, Head of Technical and Professional Education in the province, highlights that they will graduate professionals in the subjects needed in each of the entities.

They generalize the gender inclusion strategy in the centers. Not only men can study a construction specialty.

“Females can also be builders, he assures, and it is a reflection of that that we are achieving it in each of our specialties. “Girls and boys, and also females involved in the development of skills.”

Innovative ideas including the Computer Science specialty, which try to generalize to the rest of the educational institutions, as part of the teaching strategies linked to production, together with chains of economic actors.
