NATIONAL POLICE SEIZES MORE THAN 7 MILLION PESOS-

The National Police has achieved a significant seizure of more than 7 million pesos in the El Cajón district, jurisdiction of the municipality of Nóvita. This money, apparently, would be related to the ‘Gulf Clan’.

During the development of the “7D Security Marathon”, agents from the Nóvita Police Station carried out an operation that resulted in the seizure of a significant sum of cash, found during the background check of people and vehicles in the zone. $7,077,000 in bills of various denominations were found.

The individual in possession of the money, when questioned about its origin and legality, could not present documentation to support it. Furthermore, he declared to be part of the GAO Gulf Clan. As a consequence of these findings, the individual was placed at the disposal of the Police Inspection for the corresponding investigations.

This achievement represents another step in the authorities’ continued efforts to combat illegal activity in the region, guaranteeing the security and coexistence of citizens. The National Police reiterates its commitment to these objectives and reminds citizens that lines 123 and cell phone 3212412828 are available to report any information that may help identify, locate and capture people linked to criminal activities, with the guarantee of confidentiality and absolute reserve.
