President Gustavo Petro announced this Monday a visit to Santa Marta next Wednesday, May 8.
This visit is carried out as part of the event “Actions for Peace and Life”, which is part of the Government with the People in Capital Cities program.
“The entire cabinet will travel to govern from the popular neighborhoods of the big cities for a week. They will provide reports on their management to the population that lives in the poor areas of the main cities of the country.“said President Petro in a publication on social network X.
The meeting will take place at Sports Center of the South-Micael Cotes Mejíalocated in the sector Caribbean Trunk, at 3:00 pm. This event is an initiative that seeks to promote cooperation between the National Government and local authorities.

The mayor of Santa Marta, Carlos Pinedo, has been invited to participate in this important event. Both will have the opportunity to discuss with citizens various topics of local interest such as the lack of water and sewage, energy rates, the development of the 500 Year Plan, among others.
