Former Argentine midfielder Osvaldo Ardiles, world champion with the Albiceleste in 1978, said that his then coach, César Luis Menotti, who died at the age of 85, was a “ahead of his time.”

The former Argentine international in the 1978 Argentina and 1982 World Cups in Spain said goodbye to whom he considered his “football father” with a message on his social network account X.

The former midfielder of the Argentine Huracán, the French Paris Saint-Germain and the English Tottenham Hotspur posted, among others.

Ardiles, who won the UEFA Cup and two FA Cup titles with the ‘Spurs’, added another publication in which he spoke of the “extraordinary revolution” that ‘Flaco’ advanced with his sayings.
