The Yopal Mobility Secretariat presented the balance of road accidents corresponding to the period from April 29 to May 5, indicating that, during this period, a total of 21 road incidents were recorded and attended to, distributed as follows: 8 cases with material damage, 11 with injured people and 2 tragic deaths.

In terms of control and prevention, a total of 98 summonses were applied, broken down as follows: 49 for parking in prohibited areas, 24 for failure to use a helmet, 7 for lack of technical-mechanical inspection, 6 for lack of a SOAT insurance policy and 3 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The municipal agency highlighted the notable reduction in the number of fatalities in road accidents during the current year, with a total of 20 cases, compared to the 32 registered in the same period of the previous year.

In addition, a decrease in the number of injured people is evident, with a total of 53 reports in the current year compared to the 123 registered during the same period in the previous year.

The Secretary of Mobility, Nelson Ricardo Camargo, made an urgent call to the Yopaleño community to drive responsibly, respecting traffic rules and avoiding driving under the influence of alcohol.
