The governor of Casanare, César Ortiz Zorro, carried out the installation of the period of extraordinary sessions in the Departmental Assembly, which will last until May 31. During this time, the detailed study of the Departmental Development Plan “Opportunities for Casanare 2024-2027” will be addressed.
In his speech, the president highlighted the active participation of the community in the development of the plan, mentioning that 1,609 initiatives and projects were compiled during the tables set up in the 19 municipalities of the department.
The Development Plan, an extensive document made up of 233 pages and 4 annexed documents, was built with the contribution of more than 9,400 Casanareños. 295 product goals distributed across 4 strategic axes were prioritized, based on the needs identified by the community.
Ortiz Zorro expressed his hope that the Development Plan will contribute to a promising, inclusive and prosperous future for the department and for Colombia as a whole.
During the formulation phase, the participation of all municipalities was guaranteed, with the installation of 298 technical tables representing different population groups. In total, 9,450 people formulated 10,596 proposals, of which 1,541 were prioritized for the construction of the plan.
The director of the Administrative Planning Department, Alfonso Cárdenas, assured that the Development Plan reflects the needs of the entire Casanareño population and promotes equity in public investment.
