Double alert for zone wind is in effect for Jujuy: the affected areas

Follow the warning zonda wind for the province of Jujuy. As detailed by the National Metereological Service (SMN), For this Tuesday it is expected orange and yellow alert for several locations in Jujuy.

Zonda wind alert: which areas of Jujuy are under warning

Taking into account the forecast issued by the SMN, the only area affected by the orange alert is the Puna de Susques. While the localities under yellow alert are: Cordillera de Cochinoca – Cordillera de Rinconada – Cordillera de Santa Catalina – Cordillera de Susques – Puna de Cochinoca – Puna de Humahuaca – Puna de Rinconada – Puna de Santa Catalina – Puna de Tilcara – Puna de Tumbaya – I saw it already.

For these sectors, Zonda wind is expected with speeds between 40 and 50 km/h with gusts that could reach 75 km/h. This phenomenon can cause reduced visibility, a sudden increase in temperature and conditions of very low relative humidity.

How the weather continues in Jujuy

For this Tuesday, May 7, the SMN announces a day with maximum of 26° and partly cloudy skies. However, starting Wednesday conditions will begin to deteriorate and we would expect a decrease in temperatures.

Arriving at the midweek the predicted maximum is 21°, with overcast skies and since the afternoon the probability of weak rains. These conditions would extend throughout the entire week, with rainfall, maximum temperatures that would not exceed 20° and overcast skies.
