The Disability Subdirectorate continues with the implementation of different activities with the aim of improving the quality of life of Taficeños and strengthening the integration of people with disabilities into the community. During April, Autism Month, various activities related to the topic were developed.
“We carry out training in schools such as Próspero Mena, Nina Velárdez and Salas y Valdés; We also provide advice in neighborhoods, group therapies for parents, updating the Single Disability Certificate (CUD), beginning the pension process and affiliation with social works,” he stated. The area also produces psychodiagnostic reports aimed at both children and adults. These reports not only seek to offer guidance for interdisciplinary interventions and pedagogical adaptations, but also facilitate the CUD process.
