Considered an essential sector, education personnel will also receive, starting today, the vaccine against the disease transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito.

Teachers and auxiliary staff in Tucumán began to receive, starting today, the vaccine against dengue. The governor Osvaldo Jaldo participated in the beginning of the campaign in this essential sector.

“Today I wanted to accompany the teachers where we are giving this first vaccine as a result of this great decision that we have made not only to buy 200,000 doses, one of the provinces that bought the most,” said the president at the Enet N°4 Technical School.

It should be remembered that this first stage of the campaign is intended for sectors that provide essential services. “As it was with Siprosa (employees), those who take care of us take care of us every time we have health problems, also those who are in charge of the great security of the province, such as the police and today with the Tucumán teaching staff,” he explained. Jaldo.

According to the governor, there are currently 100,000 vaccines, of which about 70,000 are intended for police, Siprosa and teaching workers. “Then we will continue through the other sectors of society and fill another quota that health and hospitalization protocols decide,” he added.

Finally, he assured that teachers in the private sector are also considered in the first stage of vaccination. “We start with public sector teachers, who number 27,000, but it is also planned to vaccinate private teachers at this stage, with the batch of 100,000 vaccines,” he concluded.
