The Undersecretary of Peace and Human Rights has carried out support and assistance work in the communities of the Pacific Coast, in the municipalities of the Sanquianga subregion, specifically in Santa Bárbara Iscuandé, El Charco and Olaya Herrera.

Through the management of the Social Manager Ingrid Cortés in collaboration with the Victim Care Unit, a total of 1,655 families in this region benefited from humanitarian aid.

The starting point of the work was a donation that brought together hundreds of people and companies, both from the public and private sectors. This show of solidarity and generosity made it possible to gather the necessary resources to provide assistance to those who need it most on the Pacific coast.

In addition to material support, vaccination days were carried out, which are crucial in the current public health context. A total of 6,350 doses were provided, including pediatric, influenza and COVID-19 vaccines. Each of these days was endorsed and supported by the National Government, through the Victim Care Unit and the ICBF, as a joint effort for the well-being and health of the communities.

The Ministry of Education also joined the humanitarian cause, conducting a census to identify the total number of students affected by displacement in the region. These students, who are in a mobility corridor between Cali, El Patía and the Pacific of Nariño, require school kits and other necessary elements to continue their studies. This initiative seeks to ensure that no child is left behind, even in the midst of difficult situations such as displacement.
