The authorities of Envigado launched a strategy this month to seek combat the accumulation of garbage in the streets of that municipality.

Through a series of daily operations that will take over different points of the public space, several entities intend identify and sanction to the citizens who leave throwing away their solid waste at hours that are not permitted.

The manager of Enviaseo Pablo Gómez Zea, a public entity that is in charge of cleaning that municipality, reported that these tours began since last Thursday, May 2 of this yearin an action that will also have the participation of Police agents and officials from the Secretariats of Security and Environment.

“We begin sanctioning operations against those undisciplined citizens who take out the garbage on days and hours that are not allowed,” said the official, anticipating that the objective is that said operations be done at least twice a day: once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
