Cundinamarca: Traffic accident involves an ambulance on the Tocaima – Girardot road


In a traffic accident recorded a couple of hours ago on the Tocaima – Girardot road, specifically at kilometer 22, an ambulance and a dump truck were involved. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported among those involved, only material damage to the vehicles.

The emergency teams that attended the event were:

  • Transit police
  • Tocaima Firefighters
  • Concession Staff

It is expected that the relevant authorities will carry out the necessary investigations to determine the exact causes of the accident and take appropriate measures.

Ambulance accident in Ubaté

An emergency situation occurred on the road that connects Ubaté with Lenguazaque, specifically in the sector known as Doña Leche, when an ambulance from the municipality of Lenguazaque was hit by a tree that collapsed on the road.

The incident, which took place around 10pm on Sunday, April 28, left the ambulance driver and his passenger injured.

Both were rescued by the Fire Department and taken to healthcare centers to receive medical attention.

Captain Álvaro Farfán, Cundinamarca fire commander, reported that the accident also caused damage to the Ubaté electrical system, affecting the energy supply in the area.

The intervention of firefighters, Civil Defense and hospitals in the region was necessary to address the emergency and rescue the injured.

The situation was controlled in the early hours of the next day, at approximately three-thirty in the morning, after intense efforts by the authorities and emergency response organizations.
