The department of Casanare will participate in the Global Big Day, an international event that seeks to register birds in a single day. This initiative, which will take place on May 11, 2024, aims to encourage the participation of the Casanareño community in the conservation of birdlife and promote the tourism potential of the department.
The Global Big Day offers participants the opportunity to get involved in birdwatching and contribute to scientific knowledge about Casanare’s biodiversity. The event will feature four entry categories, each with exciting prizes including binoculars and specialized books.
Conditions of participation:
1. Define one or more points in the department of Casanare to register birds on May 11, 2024.
2. Form teams of up to five (5) members, with a name and unique identifier.
3. Register before MAY 10, 2024.
4. Have a user on the eBird platform (www.ebird.org).
5. Download the eBird mobile app to record bird sightings.
6. Actively participate in the bird registration day on May 11, 2024.
