The Head of State will hold a meeting with citizens in the company of local authorities, in order to listen to the needs of this territory.
Today the President of the Republic Gustavo Petro will visit Santa Marta, on behalf of the Actions for Peace and Life event, within the framework of its Government with the People in Capital Cities program.
The High Councilor for Peace and Post-Conflict, Jennifer del Toro, will chair this important meeting at the Polideportivo del Sur- Micael Cotes Mejía this Wednesday at 3:00 pm The event will bring together local and national authorities to address three crucial challenges for the city:

The important issues to be addressed will be, the dismantling of high-impact criminal structures is essential to achieve lasting peace in Santa Marta.
As well as the issue of drinking water and basic sanitation, where urgent attention and concrete actions are required to guarantee this basic right for all Samaria.

The meeting is part of the Development Plan presented by Mayor Carlos Pinedo Cuello, which seeks sustainable development for the city. However, del Toro stressed that achieving this objective, especially in matters of water, peace and reduction of vulnerability, requires the collaboration and active support of the national government, as established by the Constitution.
