It will include the execution of different tasks in order to preserve passability along 105 kilometers. The remaining section will continue to be served by the Conservation Division with district teams.
National Roads opened the national public tender for the Winter Maintenance Service for national route 40 in Río Negro, over a length of 105 kilometers between the border with Chubut (km 1911) and the Torrontegui stream (km 2016).
The opening of the tender was carried out through the CONTRAT.AR system under the contracting process 46-0014-LPU24 (EX-2024-29193165- -APN-LYCDNV) and had two offers: one from the company Hidraco SA and another from Siderworld SRL. Currently, administrative times are running out to evaluate the documentation presented and be able to continue with the awarding of the winter maintenance service.
Its objective is to optimize, during the period of snowfall and frost, the traffic conditions in this section of National Route 40, between San Carlos de Bariloche and El Bolsón. In this sense, the tasks carried out during the winter period cover more than 700 kilometers on national routes No. 23, 40 and 1s40.
These interventions require long work days in which the 20th District personnel carry out different preventive actions such as the irrigation of saline solution, the clearing of snow on the road and shoulders, the clearing of sections of gravel and any other task that improves the passability of national routes.
In this way, with the winter maintenance service in the evaluation process, the section of national route 40 in the province would be completed, which since last year has had the intervention of the Conservation Division personnel and road teams of the 20th District to work on the remaining kilometers until the border with Neuquén.
