During the meeting they discussed the common problems of the three provinces and coordinated joint actions. They also toured the ‘Doctor Ramón Carrillo’ Central Hospital to learn about the facilities and technology with which the medical teams work in San Luis.
The Minister of Health, Claudia Spagnuolo, received in her office Lucas Zampieri, in charge of the health portfolio of Catamarca, and Santiago Romero Ayala, General Director of Hospital Material Resources and Primary Care Centers of Entre Ríos. They held a meeting aimed at exchanging experiences and strategies on provincial health policies, and then visited the office of Governor Claudio Poggi.
During the meeting, they discussed common problems in the three jurisdictions, both nationally and locally, including the need for more human resources, improving hemodialysis coverage and strengthening the Incluir Salud program, which guarantees access to care. medical care for people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups.
Then, Spagnuolo invited them to tour the Central Hospital ‘Dr. Ramón Carrillo’, the largest and most complex health center in the province. There they were received by the president, Adolfo Sánchez de León and the medical director, Raúl Coria. Zampieri and Ayala were able to see the facilities and the modern equipment used to provide quality care to patients. In addition, they were impressed by the hospital’s technological advances, as well as its organization and care.
The Minister noted that the meeting concluded “with a joint commitment of the three ministries to work in coordination to improve health care in the provinces, and jointly address common problems and challenges.”
