From 6 in the morning this Wednesday, the Mayor’s Office of Neiva, together with the Metropolitan Police and the National Army, intervened in the Civic Plaza, with the aim of recovering the security and public space of this area that has been the subject of various social problems.
The joint deployment included the participation of the Coexistence and Security, Justice, and Public Space directorates of the Government Secretariat; as well as the Mobility dependency.
The purpose of this strategy is to guarantee citizen coexistence, prioritizing the recovery of order, security and public spaces, especially on the pedestrian street of Eighth Street between Second and Third avenues.
During the operation, which will take place from 6 in the morning until 9 at night for several days, actions will be carried out focused on the verification of documentation and identification, as well as the review of judicial records and searches. people by the Police; while the National Army will be providing support and surveillance in the intervened area.
