Likewise, Melina Linares Castellanos, from the 11th grade, would like to work as a political-military instructor, “to train the young people in my company, integrate them into the militancy of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (Far), who protect the people from coercion that they may exert. an external government. She warned of the risks, in particular, of misrepresentation of facts via social media.

She is a monitor and contestant in the Spanish subject, and has obtained second place at the national level. She commented that at the educational institution she enjoys minutes of debate on the information panorama, day of recreation, sporting events, book festivals, fairs, and planning visits to museums to learn about history.
He claims that this is the best race in the world: “We are the youngest and smallest line of the Far.”

Enmanuel Tamayo Pérez, from the 11th grade, feels proud to belong to this center, one of those that most participates in military ceremonies and cultural activities: “I have been paying tribute in honor guard ceremonies to heroes and martyrs, at the Santa Patrimonial Cemetery. Iphigenia, the Second Eastern Front; for November 30, October 10…actions that contribute to the knowledge of the rich history of the territory. My grandfather was a combatant and he instilled that love in me.
“Military life is a sacrifice, but it is worth it. Joining the ranks of the Young Communist League militancy also inspires me to give more.”

On the other hand, although it is not a family tradition, Ebelitza Gracia Milanés, from the 11th grade, said that she was motivated to this vocation by her admiration for the attitudes of the leaders of the Revolution throughout history to conquer sovereignty and the political-ideological values ​​that are apprehended: “I wish to guide tomorrow those who will be the professionals of the Far and provide them with accurate information about what is happening in the country. It is a difficult vocation, but the motivation is our excellent teachers.”

From students to teachers
With the teaching of approximately 11 subjects, the teachers at ‘Camilo Cienfuegos’ have experience, since they studied there and are now a continuation of the legacy of their teachers.

They ensure the general training of future cadets, officers and service personnel of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, of those who will defend the Revolution with weapons in hand, or from other trenches as civilian cadres, in the business system of the Far…

Armando Cárdenas Benítez, civil cadre and head of the Department of Social Sciences, highlighted that: “The objective is the training of young people with certain qualities to assume this responsibility; capable of carrying out the tasks assigned in the country.”

He explained that they share the same general study program of Education and other disciplines that contribute to this purpose. At the same time, values ​​such as firmness and consecration are strengthened.

In particular, we work on the discipline of citizen preparation and with subjects such as an overview of Cuban Culture – a journey through the values ​​of the Nation – which, although they are not purely military subjects, do favor the training of students, providing necessary knowledge. for the defense of the Socialist Homeland.

The training is comprehensive, offering a more coherent appreciation of the country’s political, academic, and cultural landscape.

As a continuator, he feels happy to be a companion of those who were his teachers, to have joined the ranks of the Camilitos. He relies on a phrase by José Martí to illustrate this parallel: “When coming to earth, every man has the right to be educated, and then, in return, the duty to contribute to the education of others.”

Lázaro Ferrer Rodríguez, head of the Physics Chair, links the content he teaches with the infantry, to know what the automatic loading mechanism of the AKM rifle is like, the function of gases in this process, in tankers the artillery, the unit of projectiles…

“The subject is useful to those who wish to be cadets in Telecommunications, Radioelectronic Fighting, Navy – with profiles such as Geodesy and Cartography, Engineer in Naval Energy Facilities that requires knowledge of electrical circuits, the influence of the tide, the Law of Universal Gravitation…-, or to manage radar systems in military units.”

He specified that the work is interdisciplinary and is supported by Geography and other areas. He learns about the function of physical laws through extra-class tasks and investigative work, which relates the subject to the different specialties.

A system of exercises and problems with a military focus is also inserted in the study program, in which data from the media is offered to students; also about combat techniques with specific objectives.

Merilyn Ramírez Gutiérrez, professor of Political Culture, stressed that global problems, war and democracy are taught to contextualize the students, the world and the country, with a revolutionary ideological conception.

The Camilo Cienfuegos military school in Santiago de Cuba is a reference; Its educators and students have a lot to contribute in the defense of the country, from the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
