Storm hits several areas of Mendoza: Fallen trees and hail cause havoc

Yesterday and early today, a storm front crossed several regions of the province of Mendoza, leaving in its wake a series of consequences that keep authorities and residents on alert.

According to the last survey carried out by the Provincial Directorate of Civil Defensevarious incidents have been reported in multiple locations.

In some areas, the storms were accompanied by hailcausing additional damage to:

  • San Rafael: Water Point.
  • General Alvear: Cochico and Carmensa.
  • Tupungato: Zapata.
  • Lujan: Ugarteche, Perdriel and Agrelo.
  • Peace: Drain.
  • Santa Rosa: The Catitas.

Damage caused by the storm

In addition to the rainfall, it was reported incidents related to falling trees and branches in San Rafael and Santa Rosa, adding a total of two new developments registered by the Provincial Directorate of Civil Defense. These figures are the result of coordinated work between local authorities and emergency teams, who continue to evaluate and respond to the needs of the affected communities.
