Governor Rogelio Frigerio presided over the presentation of the Entre Ríos Te Cuida program, implemented to provide care to older adults, women, youth, children and people with disabilities. “We have to take care of generating effective and efficient public policies,” he highlighted.

The Minister of Human Development, Verónica Berisso, and the Secretary of Care Policies, Ayelén Acosta, among other officials, also participated in the presentation of the program that took place this Wednesday at La Vieja Usina, in Paraná.

Entre Ríos Te Cuida is a comprehensive government program of the Ministry of Human Development, run by the Care Policies Secretariat, which brings together all the actions that during the four years of management will be executed through the Directorates of Older Adults, Women , and Youth and Children, as well as the Provincial Disability Institute.

Governor Rogelio Frigerio stressed that “equalizing opportunities and caring for those who need it most” are non-delegable roles of the State. He assured that in the current context “we have to give value to public management like we never gave it before. We have to take care of generating effective and efficient public policies.”

In that sense, he highlighted the importance of working together between the province, municipalities, communes and government boards, and then highlighted the need to think in the long term and coordinate efforts so as not to overlap, since when that happens, “empty spaces remain. where the State does not reach.”

“The goal is to work in a different way, not to overlap efforts, to try every day to be more efficient when managing taxpayers’ money. We are going to do it if we work together beyond the party flags or t-shirts, if we understand why we are here, what the people have chosen us for,” he emphasized.

On the other hand, mayors and community presidents were present, who signed a commitment to carry out these policies. In this way, the provincial government seeks to carry out joint and transversal work with local governments.

The program also aims to gather information on the recipients of care policies and monitor the results achieved. To this end, a registry will be created that will provide reliable data and statistics on the social situation of the target population. To do this, the experience of the Single Registry of Child Development Centers of the Province of Entre Ríos (Rucedier), created in 2021, will be taken as a reference.
