Security in Pasto continues to sow fear among its inhabitants, evidenced again after the recent assault on two women in the Las Margaritas sector. According to preliminary information, the victims were approached by two armed individuals while they were parked in their vehicle. One of the assailants, carrying a firearm, intimidated the women and stripped them of their belongings, among which were a computer and two cell phones.

After the violent act, the criminals quickly fled on a motorcycle, plunging the community into consternation and reinforcing the call to the authorities to maintain an active and preventive presence in the area.

“Even the keys to the house”

This was not the only incident recorded in the city in recent hours. In the Las Américas sector, specifically on 12th Street number 21 46, another woman was the victim of an assault perpetrated by two individuals. In addition to stealing her belongings, including the keys to her house, the criminals seized her motorcycle, leaving her in a desperate situation by taking away her only means of transportation.

Given this worrying situation, merchant Angela Mora urgently calls on local authorities to implement effective security plans that guarantee the protection of citizens at all times. She proposes activating surveillance cameras and strengthening police presence in vulnerable areas.

For her part, activist Rosa Holmes highlights the vulnerability of women in this context of insecurity, where they are easy targets for criminals. She points out that many of these attacks are carried out by armed men who do not hesitate to threaten and even abuse their victims. She demands concrete measures to protect women and eradicate gender violence in the city.

Criminality

In this context, the role of the local police and other institutions in charge of ensuring citizen security takes on crucial importance. The authorities are expected to respond in an effective and coordinated manner to the challenges posed by crime in the city, providing the residents of Pasto with the tranquility and protection they deserve in their daily lives. In summary, the recent cases of armed robberies in Pasto are a clear reminder of the urgency of addressing the problem of insecurity with concrete and coordinated actions between all the actors involved. The community expects quick and effective responses from the authorities, as well as a continued commitment to building a safer and more peaceful city for all its inhabitants.
