The Córdoba Press Union Circle (Cispren) joined the general strike called by the CGT, the Autonomous CTA and the Workers’ CTA this Thursday, May 9, throughout the country.
This is the second strike against the economic and social policy of the government of libertarian Javier Milei. The first was 12 hours with mobilization and took place on January 24. The mobilization of last May 1st is added to it.

The press release from the union that brings together journalists, communicators and press workers says that “this Thursday, May 9, we join the measure of force in rejection of the policies carried out by the national government. The measures implemented go against workers, deepening inequalities and accentuating the poverty and destitution of our people.”
He states that “we are going to the General Strike, in defense of public and self-managed media. “We repudiate the constant attacks on the press.”
Also “against DNU 70/23 and the Base Law, regulations that suppress achieved rights and lead to greater job insecurity.”
