In attention to vulnerable families of the San Miguelito neighborhoodthe water and sewage operating agency, Interapasdeployed a special distribution operation.
Thus, and with the support of the Secretary of Welfare Municipal and the Citizen Participation Boards, water was distributed to homes with vulnerable populations in several quadrants of the San Miguelito neighborhood.
After reports that in several homes the pipes did not deliver water, Interapas recognized the difficulties in accessing due to the fact that several streets in the sector are closed for construction and they are alleys where it is difficult or impossible for a tanker to enter.
Thus, a pipe was available in the garden of the San Miguelito neighborhood and from there, the water was transferred aboard trucks with thousand-liter drums, which were able to access the streets under repair.
The municipal authorities agreed with the neighbors to keep the tanker truck in the neighborhood’s garden in the subsequent days so that families have access to water, at least for their basic needs.
It was assured that Interapas will maintain direct contact with the Citizen Participation Boardsto continue bringing water to families in vulnerable conditions.
