Around 9:00 a.m. this Wednesday, A combi belonging to the funeral services company “Cochería San José” collided with a Zanella 110cc ZB motorcycle, at the intersection of the north side of Circunvalación and Necochea Street, in Santa Lucía. Two 18-year-olds were traveling on the motorcycle, who were injured and were rushed to Rawson Hospital due to the impact that threw them from the vehicle.

The combi, Renault brand, was driven by a 45-year-old man with the last name Herrera. The vehicle was traveling on the north side of the Circunvalación. Upon reaching the intersection with Necochea Streetthe driver observed the stop sign, braked and then tried to turn onto Necochea Street, at which time he collided with the Zanella motorcycle that was traveling from south to north on said street.

The driver of the motorcycle, identified as Cavazzini, 18 years old, was accompanied by a young woman of the same age with the last name Molina. Both were ejected from the vehicle by the impact, which caused their immediate transfer to the Rawson Hospital for medical attention. It was later reported that Cavazzini suffered a fractured femur as a result of the accident.

Upon arriving at the scene of the accident, the police performed a breathalyzer test on the driver of the van, returning a negative result for blood alcohol.
