Officials from a rural police unit were surprised when they found a large alligator in the department of La Paz. It happened this Tuesday at the Alcaraz Segundo Detachment of the Piedras Blancas Police Station.

The unexpected visitor was found resting in the front yard. As specified to ONEthe animal was large: it measured two and a half meters in length.

The release was attended by the Director of Local Tourism, Marcelo Varela, who celebrated the quick and safe resolution of the situation, thus ensuring the preservation of the yacaré and its natural environment.
