In the city of Santa Marta, employees of the National Tax and Customs Directorate, Dian, went out to protest at the door of the headquarters in Santa Marta, in the fifth race, due to the announcement of massive layoffs in this entity, announced by the national director, Luis Carlos Reyes.
The unionized employees stated that the dismissal of at least 150 provisional workers who have the position of facilitators 3 is coming, and they criticized the national director, since he had given his word that these positions were not going to be at risk.

According to the employees, the director of Dian is “violating the right to work and the basic living standards of the families of the employees who are going to be affected.”
In addition, they added that article 36 of decree 927 of 2023 states that the list of eligible persons cannot be used in positions held provisionally.
