The Córdoba Teachers Association (Ademacor) reported on a new day of strike in the department for non-payment of the retroactive salary increase. The cessation of academic activities in public educational institutions has been scheduled for May 10, 2024.
Through a statement, Ademacor stated that “when analyzing the failure of the territorial entity certified in education (Government of Córdoba), for not making effective the payment of the retroactive salary increase for the months of January and February 2024, and that until To date there are no guarantees for the dispersion of these resources to the educators’ accounts, despite the fact that they are available (…), the following is oriented: declare a state of maximum alert to the teachers of the municipalities not certified in education, if the disbursement of the resources is not made”.

“If non-compliance persists, academic work will be paralyzed starting Friday, May 10 in public educational institutions in non-certified municipalities. Municipal sit-ins (rallies and mobilization) will be called in front of the mayor’s offices,” Ademacor added.
It should be remembered that Ademacor has nearly 12,000 affiliated teachers. So far, there have been no known reactions from the Government of Córdoba.
