The Business Monitor of Corporate Reputation (MERCO) published its annual report on the most responsible companies in environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters in Colombia during 2023.
This report evaluates the responsibility of companies with the environment; with the internal sphere, clients and society; and with the ethical and corporate governance level. Thus, it presents a ranking of the most responsible companies in general terms, sub-rankings of the most responsible companies for each of the ESG aspects and a ranking of the most responsible company by economic sectors.
Among the most notable companies in the general ranking, is Bancolombia with first place, followed by Grupo Nutresa and Crepes & Waffles completing the podium. In addition, the entry for the first time into the ranking of Grupo Bolívar in position 61, Nubank in position 84, Grupo Vanti in position 89 and Corficolombiana in position 98 stands out. Likewise, the companies that rose the most in positions from 2022 to 2023 were Ramo (from 34th to 16th), Protection (from 75th to 60th), D1 Stores (from 83rd to 68th), BBVA (from 59th to 46th) and Latam (from 67th to 54th).
