Hanaq is a diversified metals and energy company, with more than 50 strategic base and precious metals concessions throughout Argentina.

But there is more: since the Mendoza Legislature sanctioned the modification of the Mining Procedures Code sent by the governor, many inquiries were received from companies interested in landing in Mendoza.

“Since the Code was announced and subsequently approved, there have been around 60 inquiries from interested companies,” the Ministry of Energy explained.

Among these companies that have consulted are Hanaq, Lithium, the first producer of lithium metals and the second producer of lithium compounds worldwide, with operations in China, Australia, Ireland, Mexico, Mali and Argentina; and Fortescuean Australian company with a large presence in the development of renewable energies and green hydrogen, with investments in Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, in addition to our country where it acquired the company Argentina Minera (AMINSA), and has copper mining concessions in San Juan.

The next step is the creation of Malargüe Western Mining District, an area of enormous geological potential that already has environmental, social, archaeological, flora and fauna, and water resources studies. It has critical minerals for the energy transition such as copper, which is used for lithium batteries. In addition, the development plan includes the repair of routes and roads, new power lines and the construction of the Pata Mora Industrial and Services Pole, which will be located in that department to enhance and supply the mining and hydrocarbon industry of the province. .
